Flowy white midi dress
Yup, I know fall is here, but regardless of which time of year it is, I love a white dress. Even better, a flowy white midi dress. Because white goes with anything, it’s very easy to style. With just a few accessories it can be dressed up or down in no time. And the best part? It’s super comfortable to wear.
This particular midi dress is from Zara and is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, it’s from last season’s collection so it’s not available in stores anymore, but I found a couple of great alternatives here and here.
How to style a white midi dress
Styling a white midi dress is fun and easy because it gives you so many options.
On this particular day I wanted to dress it up, but in a casual way. It was a Saturday so I felt the need to add a bit of weekend bling. Like this sparkly, silver Chanel brooch and my beloved Chanel Gabrielle bag in light beige and black. And since this white dress has a bit of bohemian vibe going on, I chose to add a pair of Christian Dior weaved friendship bracelets, plus a Tiffany & Co beaded bracelet with heart charm. I also added a few black elements, like Dior So Real sunglasses and Gucci Princetown slippers, to match the black part of the Gabrielle bag.
These pictures were taken a few weeks ago on a hot summer’s day, but when temperatures are dropping you can easily turn it into a great fall outfit by adding a pair of black ankle boots and a leather jacket. Or maybe pop over a chunky knit? That’s one of my favorite ways to wear dresses in fall.
Comfy is key
I’ve come to a stage in life where comfy is definitely key. Wearing a flowy midi dress is like wearing your favorite pajamas! Flowy and airy on a hot summer day or snuggly and cozy on a cold winter day.
Also, I like to cover myself up a bit more now in my late 30s than in my earlier days. A midi or a maxi dress is a great solution. No wonder this is one of my favorite pieces to wear, easy to wear no matter what time of year it is. Stylish and comfy at the same time. Hard to beat.
